ABOUT FARM & AG CPA
AG CPA was started by Catherine Ozment in South Texas to help local farmers & ranchers manage their finances and taxes.
Our Background
FARM+AG CPA was created specifically for farmers & ranchers who need more support when it comes to managing the finances and taxes for their ag business.
The way dads and grandads ran their operations is not the way this generation can run their farms.
Relationships with banks have changed, requirements for purchasing large tracts have changed, and the tax code is 55,000+ pages of complexity that few have the time, patience, or inclination to understand.
We saw that the old way of doing things was not going to keep the family business in the family for much longer, unless there were changes made to the way farmers & ranchers run their operations, especially when it comes to the business side of things.
We created AG CPA and its fractional CFO and ag-specific tax strategy services to provide the financial and business support that farmers & ranchers need.
We believe that agriculture is the backbone of the community, we believe in family farms, calves set aside ‘for the grandkids’ and we believe in preserving this way of life for generations to come.
About Catherine

She has lived in a small south Texas farming community most of her life, having spent many summers watching her grandfather harvest rice while playing in the canals.
Forty-five years later, she owns a mini ranchette with her husband where they own a 30 head herd and hay operation. In her free time, she hangs out with her 3 children and 7 grandchildren and hosts marshmallow roasts on the back 40.
